IDEAL THE 68 LT Hydraulic Stack Cutter

The IDEAL THE 68 LT is a programmable stack cutter of the latest generation – designed to meet the highest demands for efficiency, ease of use, and precision. With a cutting length of 680 mm and a cutting height of up to 80 mm, as well as an integrated air table, this model is ideally suited for printing companies, bookbinders, and converters with regular, high cutting volumes.
Operation is via a generous 15.6" multi-touch display that clearly presents all functions and can be controlled via swipe and touch gestures. The integrated CUT-CONTROL software enables the quick creation and management of editing programs – including a favorites function, search mode, and programmable press pressure. The DATA-MANAGER allows programs to be structured by user, customer, or project and saved to a supplied USB flash drive.
The core component is the PRECISION-DRIVE: an electromechanical knife drive combined with hydraulic pressing. The pressing force can be adjusted continuously and programmably. Fine adjustment of the backgauge is conveniently achieved via an ergonomic control element on the machine front. A patented foot press is also available for manual adjustments – independent of the machine drive.
The comprehensive SCS – Safety Cutting System protects the user with an electronically monitored IR light barrier on the front table, an enclosed rear table, and a safe two-hand cutting release (EASY-TOUCH). Blade changes are simple, safe, and tool-assisted – with a covered blade edge and animated guidance.
Thanks to its solid, all-metal construction, ergonomically adjustable working height (950–1000 mm), and durable components, the THE 68 is particularly robust and sustainable – with long-term spare parts availability and excellent repairability.
