IDEAL 4860 Electric Stack Cutter with EASY-CUT

The IDEAL 4860 is a professional stack cutter for demanding cutting processes up to DIN A3+. With a cutting length of 475 mm and a cutting height of up to 80 mm, this model processes large stacks of paper safely, efficiently, and with high precision – ideal for digital printing companies, finishing departments, or in-house print shops with complex requirements.
The patented EASY-CUT two-stage operating elements ensure comfortable, ergonomic operation with maximum safety. The SCS – Safety Cutting System is complemented by an integrated IR safety light curtain on the front table, guaranteeing a safe workflow without manual intervention. The safety concept is further enhanced by a rear table cover, a main switch with lock, and automatic return of the blade and press bar.
The centerpiece of the control system is the touchpad with multilingual user interface. The electrically operated backgauge can be precisely controlled via 99 programs, each with 99 steps – including direct input, chain measurement function, and EJECT command. Fine adjustments are made using the electronic handwheel with continuously variable speed in increments of 1/10 mm. Pre-programmed DIN dimensions and memory keys further streamline the workflow.
Precise cutting results are ensured not only by the electromechanical blade drive but also by the optical cutting indicator with bright LEDs and the three-stage LED work area lighting. Easy maintenance is guaranteed: the blade can be changed without tools using an integrated device with a covered cutting edge.
The robust all-metal construction, combined with a solid steel blade carrier and hardened blade guides, stands for the highest quality, repairability and durability – Made in Germany.
